There are many factors to consider when choosing your ceiling fan. These include the size of the room, ceiling height, whether or not the fan will include a light fixture, and your personal tastes regarding styles and finishes.

Sizing a fan to your room
Our range of fans vary from 100cm (40²) to 183cm (72²) diameter. For optimal performance and efficiency we recommend the following guidelines:

070 to 120sqft -------- 100cm (40") - 112cm (44")
120 to 180sqft ---------112cm (44") - 120cm (48")
180 to 350sqft ---------132cm (53") - 183cm (72")
Greater than 350sqft may require 2 fans.

Mounting Systems
Life’s A Breeze ceiling fans are suitable for installation on high or angled ceilings up to 28° (available in most styles). For low ceilings a range of low profile and flush mount fans are also available.

Extension Down Rods
The optimum height for a ceiling fan for maximum efficiency is 2.4m from the floor. Ceilings higher than 2.9m it is recommended to add an extension downrod to bring the fan down to the optimum height. (eg. A ceiling fan of 3.0m needs an extension down rod of 30cm. You need to allow 20cm from the top of the motor to the bottom of the switch housing).

Light Kits
A selection of stylish light kits are available for most models. It is important to note however that 2 power wires are required to power the light and fan independently. If the power wires are not available then a remote control is the cheapest and easiest option to control the fan and light.
